Solved my earlier query. Time for a new one!
I'm using the Blauparts.com (Blaufergnugen) tools/kit to do a timing belt replacement. In the Blau guide, they include a step that the Bentley guide doesn't have - to removing the "engine torque mount" before attacking the crankshaft.
I don't see anything about a torque mount in the Bentley book, so I'm not really sure what it is. Anyone know how to describe what it looks like or have a picture?
The blau guide says it's fastened (in an A6 4.2 V8 ART) with three 12mm and one 16 mm bolt. By looking for those bolts I think I know what it is. But I'd like to be 100% before plunging in - what I'm seeing looks like semi-trapezoidal piece of metal.
