Euro models came with Manual headlight leveling adjustment?!

Just saw an ad for a euro headlight switch with a manual leveling control **** next to the interior light ****. Never knew that was an option in Europe! Can we retrofit our cars to manually adjust? Is it as simple as plugging in a loose wire behind the switch assembly?

a "thumb wheel" or what you call it, same design as seat-heater control. Wheel has positions 0, -I and -II, each corresponds to the tire pressures given for various loads (1 person/3 persons with luggage/full car)
I've driven a C5 1.9TDI with manual adjustment, but most here have xenons and thus are required by law to have automatic adjustment.
Why would you want manual adjust?

realised the positions were related to the tyre pressure/load chart, I thought it was simply a 'lower them how much you think you need to' type thing.
You can learn something new every day here, thanks.

German lamps must have the ability to adjust with ride height changes, and Zenons must be automatically controlled by law. I've converted a few cars for import into germany and it isn't an easy task.
You can retrofit them, if you use the proper lamps, install a harness, and switch.
