Default Ever wonder why the bi-xenon low beams are dimmer than regular xenon?

Here's a comparison between three types of A6 projectors: halogen, bi-xenon & regular xenon. The bi-xenon have the additional benefit that they allow more light out when the high-beams are powered up, but their low-beam pattern is more restricted - see below.

Halogen Low-beam Pattern:

Bi-xenon Low-beam Pattern (Much better):

Regular Xenon Low-Beam Pattern (Wow!?!?!):

Bi-xenon High-beam Pattern (Nice!) Note: The high-beam halogen bulb is NOT wired-up in this test:

To obtain the same low-beam pattern on the bi-xenon setup, remove the large shield masking the inside top of the projector: Step-by-step Instructions

Shields - Bi-xenon vs H7 Projector Shields:

Bi-xenon Low-beam Pattern with H7 Shield:

Alternatively - remove the shield altogether, the pattern is slightly more rounded at bottom - not much difference.

Default How to disable my DRL's - Difficulty removing hdlt switch to get to wirng hrnss.

My first attempt was with the relays - no go. It appears the lower DRL voltage is fed into the switch, then the fuses, and finally the light controller.

I've read various post here and on vwvortex about pulling the switch and bending the pin.

I cannot pull the switch out. I removed the knee panel, and the switch cover. I can push on one finger to loosen the bottom. The top is hard to get to, but I may be able to insert a flexible blade to push it down...
