Default Exhaust / Warranty question

I have an 01 2.7T with 67000 miles. Have the Audi assured warranty through 100,000 miles. I was told that Audi may not warranty the car if the turbo's blow and I have an aftermarket exhaust? (Thinking about getting a Milltek) Any thoughts/advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance, Drew

Default just keep the stock one, if the turbo blows, put the stock one back on

i think they will need proof of they try to deny warrenty work (never happened to me, so its just a guess), and if you can keep a poker face on when you tell them "its stock", you should have no problem

Great idea. Other than prosecutable fraud, I'm not sure what the prob would be...

Default I think that would be okay as long as your aftermarket is from cat-back...

but I am not sure. I know taht when I started to look into exhausts for the 2.7T, I had the same fear, so I called AudiUSA. I called three seperate times, got tow different answers. Two fot eh three said as long as it is from the cat back, there is no impact on warranty.

Your best bet is to ask your dealer before you do anything. If they say yes, you can get more comfortable that you and your turbos are safe. Remmeber, they have to prove that the exhaust caused the turbo failure, and not something else.
