Default Factory Manual (actual book, not a CD-ROM)

Anyone know of a source? Bentley seems to only sell a CD or a subscription to the CD content online (not sure why anyone would do that rather than just get the CD, but I digress).

Having had past difficulties with Bentley when I've needed to re-install the CD content, I'd prefer to have an old fashioned book. If anyone can point me towards a source, I'd be quite grateful.

Thanks,

Default You and me both...

...I 'upgraded' from using a book for my CQ to a CD for the 2.7. I liked to book much better, although the CD was 'cool' it's touch to navigate and I can't carry my desktop out to the cars.
I haven't had to reinstall yet, but I have heard that Bentley Pub. is very accomodating during a transition to another machine. But again, no BTDT. I have a binder of material I've printed out, but it's maybe a 1/16th of the CD material and its damn near filled up a 2" binder. :P

Default Dream on. Bentley/Audi seem to feel that it's not needed.

I guess the upside is that when I find what I want on the CD I can print it without worrying about getting a book dirty. :-) It's still a lot easier in my mind anyway to use a printed book than the CD. I have also printed a bunch of pages into a binder, tab indexed, etc, included with some magazine articles and my service records. Seems I'm not the only one who is **** enough to do that..

Default I've got a friend who is a manager at Kinkos and a raging car nut. He might do a run

of "manuals" if demand is great enough and somebody supplies him with the CD.

Default Bentley is NOT accomodating at all.

I did a re-install and the customer service guy all but accused me of pirating the CD. It took them several days to get around to giving me another activation code while they "verified" my contact details. I just don't want to encourage that kind of crappy customer service by buying another CD product from Bentley. I'd be willing to pay even more than the CD to get a hard copy and not have to deal with those clowns again.

Cheers,

uh....that's not a service manual. It's an owner's manual...the little brochure for your glovebox.
