Default A few ?'s about buying an A6...input if you would...

Iam in the market to buy a mid to low Audi A6. I cant decide which is better the 4.2 or the 2.7T S-Line. I will probally be looking in the 03',04' year(I know only S-Line was made in 04 for the 2.7T). I dont really plan on doing big motor mods, probally just audio and putting 20's on the car. It will be used almost everday and just woundering if there is anything to look for...probelms that any of you have had/concerns/comments. I will be going to the auction at Manheim,PA to buy the car, so i will save a few thousand dollars on the car vs buying one from dealership.....comments/answers/concerns welcome......

Default BOTH cars are great, depends on what you want...

2.7T will be quicker off the line, feel more agile. The 4.2 just has raw power under the hood, and a smooth power band up to high speeds, which means it just keeps pulling and pulling.

Drive both, and you'll know which one will make you happy.

But the 2.7t is much more mod friendly; chips, turbos...etc. You 4.2 guys forget that sometimes..

RC: like me, feeling that Mercedes owes me a car for namesake, wouldn't buy one.
