From the dealer (Zumbach sports cars in NY, NY)
According to the service manager they had never received a complaint about this before, so they (the dealer and Audi) wanted to ensure that the problem was rectified.
For those who haven't heard of my problem, it was a warped right front rotor. (pulsation/vibration when braking from speeds over 35-40mph)
Apparently, when the dealer ordered the parts (which surprised me, I thought the dealer would stock items like this , you know, brake rotors and pads) they were sent the wrong parts (for a 2.8 A6 instead of the 2.7T)
In any event, 2 new rotors and 4 sets of pads (each front wheel has 2 pairs of pads) and all it PERFECT. The way it should've been since day 1. My biggest complaint is that tomorrow makes 7 days since I took delivery, and the dealer had that car for 4 of those 7.

Sorry you were without your car this long, I would feel the same way, but I think the dealer's behavior in getting it fixed is pretty impressive. I.e., no trying to convince you you are crazy, or that the problem is "normal," and by replacing all the possible sources of the problem, rather than doing something like just turning the rotor and waiting for it to warp again.

They rented me a Saturn!! This was the first car (since 1990) that I rode in that didn't even have a cassette!!
I complained politely to my salesperson and the service manager, and then to someone who said he was one of the owners. I then in turn called Audi Customer relations and complained to them. My car was fixed on the 4th day.
The dealer typically covers $25 a day for rental, but the POS Saturn cost $36 a day.. Once again, for a car that I took delivery of with a problem, they covered all of the rental car, and installed my mudguards for free =)
