Default finally got the tint... 35% all around- except back window 20%

Madico non titanium tint- lifetime guarantee. i like it... not too dark (i.e.- hopefully won't be getting pulled over) but enough you can tell and it will make a difference- and looks good.

still curing- some spots on drivers front window are kinda concerning to me right now- looks like I might have to get it re-done or have the "kinks" (though they are small details) worked out...

SunShield in Van Nuys did a pretty good job, but jury is still somewhat out- since it hasn't been but a few hours and the car is yet dirty...

pics to come later this week- maybe I need new siggy...

Default It will look like crap for 2 to 3 weeks while it dries. If it still doesn't look good after that, I

would take it back.

Default thanks for the info.- I was thinkin I got a rush job...

for some reason I really thought that it would only take a day or two to "settle down" onto the glass.. I guess it just needs to sit and melt in the sun eh- is this what your installer told you (the two to three weeks bit)? this is reassuring...

I'll just throw away my penchant for detail for the next couple weeks then. (it'll be hard- theres a spot right by my face I keep looking at!!! LOL)

Default They really should have told you that. The moisture between the film and window needs to dry...

Leave it in the sun if possible. They told you not to put the windows down for 48 hours right?

Take some pictures and I can tell you if it's normal.

Default they told me don't put the windows down for 24 hours and put it in the sun... also, not to

wash/clean the insides of the windows for 2 days... I'll try to get some pictures later if possible but if I were to describe them I'd say there's little spots (like dots) and one irregular looking patch (though also small)

do you think its any different for non-metallic vs. metallic in terms of "set-up" time (i.e.- not rolling down the windows...)?

Nah, my sticker on the auto windows said 24 hours, they just told me 48 to be safe.

Just let it dry a few days. Then if still not happy, take it back.
