Yep, it happened to a fellow Audi A6 2.7t 2003 owner yesterday.

Default Did you ask if they could apply "the fix" before the official notice?
And was the car you saw really burned from that exact issue?

Where the hell was your camera?

Are all A6 cars affected? I am hearing a loud buzzing noize in my dash. It sounds like electric and it cycles. If I hit the dash or next to the radio, it goes away for a short time. When will Audi announce the recall?

This happened on 1/4/04 and my wife and I are still not back in the house. Not only did I lose the Audi, I lost my 2000 Corvette and about 40% of my house! Audi claims the fire started OUTSIDE of the vehicle...NOT!!! The Audi (a 2000 A6 4.2) was replaced with a 2002 M-B CLK 430 and I replaced the Corvette with a 2004 Corvette. No more Audis for us!!!!!
