Have the Dunlop SP5000 on 16" rims. Have been noticing a "wha, wha, wha, wha" sound that increases with rpm. Also had vibrations around 60mph. Told dealer and they balanced two of the tires but said tires were in specs for roundness. Took it back a week later because the tire noise and vibration. Stopped in at dealer on the way into work and got the shop spvsr to go for a test drive. He drove it and said that it definitely has an out of round or flat spot tire. Going in on July 25th (earliest date). Does the dealer replace the tires? What should I be expecting? Tires had about 15K when i first reported it. Now have about 18K.

A bad shock can cause uneven, particularly flattened areas on a tire, as well, obviously, poor alignment/camber, etc.
Unless it was a manufacturing defect in the tire itself, something is screwed up and it will happen again with the new tire.

Has anyone mentioned to rav4 that you are only supposed to have one tire mounted on each wheel at any given time?
