Default Fog lights with no fog suck. And you all suck for using them. :-)

That thread was too long to comment, who could make it all the way through - not me, I lose interest too quickly.

One of my peeves is drivers using fog lights - ESPECIALLY the rears - when there is NO FOG!

I only did the fog light mod because I've found that in HEAVY snow, it's sometimes easier to see with just the fogs.

It's amazing how many Audi drivers I see that have NO CLUE that they pulled the switch out two clicks and have turned on their rear fog(s).

The fogs used to be seperate switches on the dash. Fewer mistakes that way.

And easier to just keep them on all the time without noticing (ala BMW).

IIRC at least the rear was 'reset' with ignition cycling. Not sure on the fronts.

Would you still be pissed if you considered them driving lamps instead of foggers...???

Default I did say "fog lights." Therein lies the dilemma.

What's your definition of fog lights v.s. driving lights...

The fronts aren't so bad if they're aimed properly and reasonably lit. Unknown or unecessary use of the rear light is much worse IMHO. Regardless, most state laws don't allow the use of auxillirary lights and/or "fog" lights during normal weather.

FWIW, I was blinded this morning by a pair of naked ladies! You know, the shiney things the redneck truckers put on their mudflaps. Gotta give the guy credit for having them clean enough to bother me.

FYI, MY03 resets the fog position when you turn off the lights.

Quick Reply: Fog lights with no fog suck. And you all suck for using them. :-)
