They're beginning to look smallish with all these newer models on the road now.

Not me. My 17's look small. The 18's look just right IMO

2nd. Part of it is the design of the C5 wheel wells that make for a lot of space around the tire.

ive run 17's and 18's and to be honest the 17's are just fine

Default 18s are now standard on newer cars and 19's are now for sport packages
The sizes have shifted over the years.

I don't like bent wheels, so I stick with stock. Anything larger than 18's looks ghetto fab.

Default 17s and 18s are just right, although my 17" snows look so small...
..you are just used to those HUGE Q7 wheels!!!!

Default It completely depends on what the wheel well was designed for. +1 is fine but +2 looks ghetto IMO
Newer Audis offer 19's from the factory. Putting 19's on a C5 would be equivalent to putting 21's on a C6.

My C4 looks just right with 17's because it was designed for 16's. You can get away with 18's with some wheel designs but most look too big.
