I would accept either spelling, however, in the interest of respect and comity, I will use capisce on the off chance I would not insult an Italian. I could have easily used capisci.

If, however, you choose to use Google language tool, you will find the first translation of 'understand?' is capisci; OTOH, translate capisci or capisce from Italian into English and it still comes out 'understand?'

The Italian verb "to understand" "capire" can end in different ways. Plus, there are diffo forms depending on who you are talking to.

"Understand" has three different forms:
"understand" to a friend is capisci?
To more than one friend, it's capite?
In a formal way to one person it's capisce?

One last thing, sometimes capisce is simply a loose way of saying undoubtedly. The phonetic kapeesh pronunciation just seems closer to capisce than capisci.
