The left front side upper control arms and tie rod of 98 A6q are worn due to broken boots. There are many brands such as MEYLE, TRW, Moog, Girling (Lucas), and Lemforder available online. Any particular brand to avoid or to buy? Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

from ECS. The parts looked and felt good, and the fit was perfect. Can't tell about the long term quality tho, but from what I heard, they're better than OEM. Call ECS to find out more. I think they carry two different brands.

That are actually improved over the stock. Also you can find them on ebay for all eight arms for under $500.00. Hve teflon inserts and thicked bushings. Also the kit comes with the improved solid metal tie rod ends.
