When I come to a complete stop and then begin moving forward again, I've recently noticed a low moaning frictive sound that makes me think my front brake pads/calipers aren't fully disengaged from the rotors. It does this for the first 20 feet or so then goes away. It also seems like the car is somewhat more sluggish initially accelerating away from a stop.
Is this a likely scenario? Could it be something besides brakes? I had new pads and rotors put on at 3500 miles (I'm now at 7200) and haven't had a minute's trouble since then, until last week. Any ideas? THANKS!

the sound that way. It would help verify your suspicions regarding the source of the noise. Of course, if you have a good dealer service department, you could always drop it off with them and say "fix it".
