Front end cover/Bra - or Clear Bra?

I've got a question - looking for some input.
Because my last car got so many chips and nicks on the front end (I do alot of highway commuting) I got a front end cover (vinyl bra) for my recently purchased 2000 A6 2.8Q. The problem is, because it's a black car - I want to keep it clean and wash it often. Can I take this car through a car wash with this bra on?
I am also aware of the "clear bra" product - believe its made by 3M - looks to be a possible alternative to the vinyl bra. Anyone have any experience/suggestions as far as both of these options for protecting the paint/finish on my car? Pros/cons of both???? Will either product eventually fade the paint? etc., etc.,

Lose the vinyl bra and go with the clear bra. I have it on mine, it does what it was designed to do and is not obtrusive. The other type traps dirt and moves around thereby scratching your paint. If for so reason you don't like your clear bra get a heat gun and take it off. Make sure you have front bumper hood and mirrors done. Also I've seen the top of the rear bumper done as well.
Two pictures with 3m product.

I wouldnt recommend a vinyl bra that you have to take on and with all the hassles they come with and harm the paint when you can clear bra. These guys have the best prices I can find anywhere. They use 3M and VentureShield. Good luck and black bras are for chicks
