Front end noise - '00 A6

Front end noise - '00 A6
Car seems to handle fine, but on washboard sections of road, I hear loose rattling noise at front driver side. I assume tie rod end maybe? Shock mount? Tie rod end recall was 98-99 only, right? Any help is appreciated.
