Indy replaced the "guide set" and left and right guide rollers, but the seat rocks forward and back just as much as before.
Indy says only seat replacement can cure the rocking...
Has anyone used the ECS front seat guide/slide kit with success to eliminate seat rocking?
I STFA and found some positive results but also found that people couldn't figure out where the front guides go on the seat.
I've attached the relevant ECS info (it's the third item down)
Please HELP as this rocking is getting worse.<ul><li><a href="http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/pagebuild_v2.cgi?searchstring=seat&searchqt=by vehicle&make=Audi&model=C5+A6&submodel =Quattro&engine=2.7T">ECS tuning limk - third item down</a></li></ul>

The cheap seat fixes usually don't apply to the C5 platform. When you get a rocking chair in the C5 it's because a weld in the seat frame has failed. You can replace just the seat frame without replacing the whole seat, but that will still cost you around $500/seat IIRC.

on here that said it could be a weld. I had the seat out of the car and unless your over 300lbs I doubt you can brake a weld on these seats. They appear VERY sturdy. Either way you can look and find a broken weld.
I will look for my pictures and see If I can describe how I fixed. It was basically taking the whole thing apart, repositioning this little rubber piece, re-grease and put back together. I know it sounds crazy but there is only a couple places if you look at the seat where it would be possible to make movement like that.
