So I replaced the fuel pump today. Not to tough of a job, but I really hate those crimped clamps! The old pump was reading like 48 ohms, so I was pretty happy when I tested it. After getting the job done, turned the car on and got nothing.
.?%#! After a hit with the VAG and some testing it fired right up. I also did a small tune up. Replaced a few old looking hoses and washed and re-oiled the air filter. Fuel filter, pressure tested, oil, and blinker fluid. Then I pulled apart my DV's, cleaned and greased. One was actually getting a little crusty, but both are smooth as new again. I ordered a new fuel pump relay, the current one is looking a bit stressed.
Car feels smooth and snappy. The old pump was not performing so good now that I feel the new one.
