hey, if I purchase 1 floor jack and 4 jack stands (for the four jack points on the car). Is it ok if I lift the car at the jack points one at a time and put the jack stand underneath the jack point one at a time? Or will I risk bending the frame?
For example, car is on all four wheels on the ground. I lift the left front with the floor jack then put the jack stand underneath the correct "resting" point for the left front. Then I go to the right front side and lift at the jack point with the floor jack then put the jack stand underneath the correct "resting" point for the front right.
Will I risk anything by raising the car and resting it on the jack stands one at a time?

Paul,
Can you comment on the value of the transmision flushing machines that some shops use. Would they have any value here if the pan was dropped, cleaned and the filter was changed. Thanks, I am about to do this and am trying to plan my course.
