during that time and I opted for the cheaper shipping via UPS ground. Best case is that you would be without for 2 nights. If you send the ecu to them overnight they can install the chip and ship it back the same day overnight delivery. But this route would cost about $50 in shipping.

That the car actually feels faster because it is alway ready in the optimal gear. It feels like it pulls harder because it stays in each gear longer before shifting. The best comparison that I can make is my old 97 M3 auto in sport shift mode. Like I said, Audi should have at least had a selector switch for sport mode shifting.

When I was noticing some issues with the transmission failing to properly downshift two gears on a full throttle assault I took in in to be inspected. They first thought the throttle body was faulty and when that didn't fix it the did a upgrade to the TCM that was a upgrade of the original one they said. This really made a difference. All the attributes you've described were made real in my 99 A6 2.8 30V. Now I know that I'm seriously lacking in the HP I'd like to have, but this is my first Audi and it is Audi Certified for another year more miles than I could possibly put on it. If your experiancing similar issues and you have a similar year (I believe anything 98-00' was with the same TCM) and it's still under warrenty you might just save yourself $400! Hope this helps someone.
