Default God @#$# Road Debris killed my tire!...

Had about 7k on my Yokohama Advan S.4's and picked up a chunk of metal in my driver's side rear tire. Thought I could have it repaired and when they dismounted it, the entire inner sidewall was destroyed b/c I drove on it for about 1/4 mile before I realized I had a flat. This car is so stable and the tire sidewall so stiff that the car didn't get out of shape an inch when the tire went down at 70mph. I only realized it when we stopped for some traffic and when we started moving again, I could feel the steering get sloppy.

Oh well, just ordered another from TireRack and ordered my PBR Ceramics from Pure MS as well since my Brake light was blinking at me.

Love this car - especially when I've got the family in the car!

Default Imagine living in DC where the road conditions are comparable to Tijuana, MX

Just having a flat aint so bad, we've got mountain potholes and road divets to swooorve all day. Makes driving around kinda interesting tho. Sucks when you dont pay attention and dohhh, f****n roads!!

Default Actually live in Richmond and work in D.C. all the time...the beltway is like

driving on the surface of the moon for sure. The flat was on beltway right at the "mixing bowl" in Woodbridge. I was pulled over on I95 changing that thing - in about 8 minutes no less (not bad!)

Default Tires only have about 7k on them and are not worn at all. No way I'm spending

another $1k to replace all 4. By the way, get the Road Hazard insurance - if I was smart and got it, it would have cost me basically nothing for the new tire. Did pop for it on the one I ordered.

Default Thats a coincidence, bet the traffic was backed up to Jupiter...

Why is it that anytime someone is schagning a tire or pulled over the traffic slows to a crawl for 5+miles? Gives me some serious roadrage! Ive made that trip down to Richmond quite a few times to visit my ex, the traffic is almost always a MF. Sucks you have to make it everyday, but Im sure the quality of living is better for your fam. Default Luckily don't have to do it everyday, but certainly do it enough...

We'll have to get together some time. Do you have a VAG-Com by the way?
