I brought in my car for a new windshield, which is done entirely by a subcontractor to HBL. Insurance is covering it with $0 deductible.

In addition to being treated well by Matthew Frick (***'t Service Mgr.), I got a free loaner car (GMC Envoy). If they wash my car before giving it back, I can consider the whole thing to be a very complicated free car wash scheme.

I strolled around the dealership to check out A6s. Seems like the 3.2s are all coming in with stickers at $50,000 or more. That puts it in the same neighborhood as the S4. I sat in the A6 for a good while and have to admit that I'm impressed. There is not a single switch or button or lever that is common with the B5 A6. All of the hardware seems to be upgraded. Even the sunroof **** has a tighter, more solid feel to it. I still prefer the design of the B5 dashboard, but I can see some justification for the price bump.
