Got a guy willing to lend me his VAG-COM. Not real familiar with the popular changes to make on an
04 4.2. I STFA with no luck. Some recommended VAG-COMS for my car would be much appreciated!

Definitely the 00032 tiptronic recode (holds 1st longer) and the remote window operation...
maybe reduce the volume and pitch of parktronic (if you have it). Other than that, there is not much else to do.

0032 puts the tranny in more of a sport mode, it will hold 1st to redline if you are on
the throttle enough. The remote window operation does a couple of things depending on how you re-code it. It can autolock/ unlock the doors only open the drivers lock with one remote button push and the rest on the second, and also put the windows up or down using the remote.
Do a search for window re-code and also looks for Stoney's faq's website it is VERY helpful.
