I know we are all anxious to know when one of us finds a good repair shop for our Audis. Well I'm here to tell you I've found a great one right in my own backyard.
I wanted to share with all what I believe to be a terrific organization to take your Audi or any European car for service. The name of the company is Golz Motors. Jeff and Glenn Goeltz have operated the business for I believe the past 14 years in Deerfield.
You go into their shop, which is huge, and will find Ferraris, Jaguars, BMW, MB and of course Audis. I had my car serviced by Golz a few times and found them excellent in both the quality of their work and doing their utmost to please their customers. BTW their prices are fair.
They're located in Deerfield at 450 Lake Cook Road. It's a ten-minute walk to the Metra station. You can contact Jeff @ 847-317-9880

Some of the better extended warranties will pay an independent shop with a credit card over the phone once work is completed. But not all independent shops will do this.
I had a shop back east that would, though I usually called in the claim for authorizaiton for them. They would get paid with a Visa as soon as the repair was completed. The warranty was a GE Capital policy, but others will do the same.
