Default Great news today. Bless AOA and Boardwalk Audi's hearts...(more)

I just talked to Darren McNeely at Boardwalk, and my turbos are being replaced. They were noisy, but not as noisy as Jon Daniel's were. Darren said it was decided to go ahead with replacement and the parts should arrive this afternoon. I don't know exactly who made the decision, but someone will get a nice present later on. I really would have had difficulty in selling the car with the siren noise present.

On the personal side, I had even better news this AM. After tests at UT Southwestern Medical, the head of vascular surgery gave my carotid arteries
a clean bill for another year.

Double great news. Nothing like having enough blood in your head and air in your intake.

Default yupe...turbo power and tourque will clear up those clogs right away

see your physician for more information

side effect might include:
addiction to speed
more time with your car than your family

Just think what those arteries would have done if they didn't do the turbos! Congrats on both!

Default GFY...I wasn't aware carotid arteries gave probs. Cardiac arteries, yes...

Seems a local doc here in the DC area is pimping the whole heart picture/exam/CAT or somesuch. Seems heart disease runs in his family, father/mother died from it, etc., but he's healthy, skinny, runs, diets, etc., etc.

Went in for a whole heart scan and they scheduled him for quad/quint bypass surgery within the hour. Of course, IIWM I would have gotten a second opinion. Seems there's a cottage industry popping up on bypass surgery in at least one hospital that shall go unnamed here. It's under investigation.

Caveat Emptor, even when dealing with the medical profession.
