Had a run-in with a Cross-fire SRT-6 last night
Heard this car revving his engine beside me at a red light. When I looked over it was a (powder blue?) Chrysler Cross-fire with a wing in the back. We had an open stretch of road in front of us (speed limit 65).
Any way, we took off and I immediately put about a car length and a half on him. I couldn't pull on him beyond that and I shut down at about 80, as he blasted past me.
I was kind of surprised that a Cross-fire kept up with my chipped A6 until I saw it was an SRT-6. I checked and they are rated at aboout 330 hp and 315 lb-ft of TQ. Apparently, they are pretty fast but only come with automatic transmission.
2000 A6 2.7T 6-speed
APR v5.0
Miltek catback exhaust
H&R Springs/Koni's
H-Sport Sway bars

you dont have to post "speed limits" and "open road" in race stories...MOST of us are not that
up-tight that we dont enjoy a good street race story.
I dont think anyone on this board will go all FAST and FURIOUS when racing.

I am dead on sure he was majorly disappointed....
that he couldn't catch you. Especially considering his car is brand new and he's feeling it out. I also bet he had no idea that an A6 could be that quick.

I know, just wanted to make it clear that I wasn't being a menace on public highways, I had caught some flak from a previous "race" story.
