You should submit this to AW tech section. I haven't finished my writeup...so maybe I don't need to...seeing how you covered "all the bases".
I must admit, the A pillar removal was the worst part for me.
enjoy!

everyone said that it sounded fine, like I was talking normally on the phone. Not sure if it worked better because I took it out of the Motorola housing and put the mic innards inside the Audi OEM housing.
Thanks for all your help! Work on that NAV writeup!

I was helping "joshua" from the allroad forum with his Nav+ install in his 2004 allroad (with OnStar) and we determined that he needed to change the code so OnStar's audio came through the front two speakers (as it did with his SymII arrangement).
This is worth fiddling with if you want to have the speaker output come through the L or R front door speakers...and not the B-pillar (aka: passive speaker).
By doing this, essentially, you'd be cancelling out the B-pillar as the primary source for the telephone speaker...and reprogramming your SymI to tell the Bose amp to send the tel speaker output to either the L or R door speaker. Make sense?
Therefore....
- module 56 radio: 00117 (previous code)
- Try: 00017 (no passive speakers)..and see if this works (new code).
There is a hidden menu for changing the L vs. R door speaker for telephone. See this link:

where is Grapeking? Sounds like another opportunity for a local GTG! Bit busy the next week or so, then on vacation until July 18th. Perhaps a GTG after that?

Any thoughts on date or location? Should we try to get some more coupons for Chili's? I thought it was a great place to meet, right off the highway, and big parking lot.
