Default Hardwired TomTom

I really like the TomTom GPS unit, but the adapter is huge and is always a "knuckle-smasher" when hitting 5th gear.

My solution was to purchase a hardwired kit from eBay (simply cutting off the end of the power adapter would not work as the voltage is wrong).

I wired it directly into the fuse box using one of those "Add a Circuit" things. I left a short piece to run up to the corner of the dashboard.

Final result:

A simple mod, but worth the time.<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/Hardwire-Power-Cable-for-TomTom-One-One-3rd-Ed-One-XL_W0QQitemZ170263426492QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item17 0263426492&amp;_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&amp;_trkparms= 72%3A1418|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318">eBay link</a></li>

I use the suction mount that came with the unit, but I'd like something better....

I rarely park in bad areas, but I only leave it in on the dashboard when on a road trip...
