Default Hardwiring V1; switched power tap?

Where should I tie in? The fusebox?

It seems like there's power (unswitched?)
near the mirror/visors if I could get to it.

Default Fuse box for me,

I just did this last weekend, and tapped switched power from fuse #2 within the fuse box. Takes a bit of work. I didn't probe much in the headliner for switched 12VDC because everything seems to be connected to the alarm's interior dimmed light power, or sunroof electronics.

Search the archives; others have done this job and documented it.

Default Easiest is to get one an add-a-circuit tap...

plugs right into a fuse of your choice w/ approp. value and lets you run off that. I used an unused circuit in mine, no problem.
