has anybody tried an RS4 K04-025/026 upgrade

I know swapping these turbos means pulling the engine and changing some piping... but would it be worth it?
Would my tranny take it?

will you be running the matching fueling, software, etc. for it? your Tranny will most likely hold
a Stage 3- Setup (just the turbo's upgraded with stage1 tuning and a boost cap.) but it wont last long much after anything with more horsies than that......

K04s and Tip trannys are fine. Done many, many times...
Whether its a stg 3- or 3 tune, a Tip car will be OK if you make prudent tranny mods and don't drive the car like a drag car. My stg 3 Tip A6 has been going strong for 50K.
Minimum tranny mods include an upgraded torque converter and TCU chip. VAST (vastperformance.com) is the best place for these currently.
