Torn, but not destroyed...
I replaced mine yesterday (4000 miles). It had a small tear where the TB clamp was, right at the mold seam. The tear had not gone all the way through the boot yet, so it was still 100% functional. For the $20 in part and shipping cost (and the elusive $.69 clamp), it was worthwhile preventive maintenance...
