Hi all,

I just recently bought a 1999 A6 quattro wagon. It has a lot of miles and wear on it, but it drives like a champ. However, just recently, the hazard lights start flashing while parked for no apparent reason. There is no noise or anything, just the lights. Most of the time they go off on their own, otherwise I just unlock the doors and it stops.

Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on?

Sounds like an alarm issue. Are your windows down or anything? I know in mine if I leave the windows down and the alarm is on with the sound sensor on as well the alarm will randomly go off. Perhaps yours is not the same issue but I would look into the alarm and take it to a indy shop and have them check it on the VagCom to see if there are any codes.

Yeah, I had the windows down cause it's hotter than heck, so that's probably it..

Never heard of VagCom until I started browsing these forums.. Any quick start guides on it about?
