I thought I read a while back that if you do not replace your headlight or foglight bulbs with OEM from Audi that you can run into trouble with burning out the headlight switch. Is there any truth to that cuz mine is fried after replacing the headlight and foglight bulbs from an auto parts store?

Dont hit me for this, but I dont know. I was on a road trip and just stopped at a parts store and asked for a bulb and put it in. Would it make a difference? The dealership has my car now or else I would check, but im assuming it was an even swap cuz both left and right headlights were the same brightness.

Put in the same wattage as the old one and you will be fine.
If you go from a, say, 55w to a 100w there could be problems with over heating.

WEll... replace the switch from a junk=yard, and run a couple of higher wattage relays to accomodate those higher watt bulbs, if you need the brightness. Or just do the relays to be flexible. The "output" range is not the "drain" voltage or wattage. Be sure you are clear on this before installing other than OEM's.
