Default Help: An aftermarket in-dash CD deck (in Bose System)...
I have a 99' Avant, and I wanted to have an aftermarket in-dash CD deck replacing my current cassette deck. I went to this car stereo place, and they told me that replacing the factory unit with the aftermarket CD player will destroy the sound of the Bose System.

Has anyone tried this and disappointed with the result?

Default I've look on the Bose web site and
it is told that any aftermarket cd player will not work properly with the rest of the Bose system, the speakers.

True - only two choices 1) comlete replacemetn of everything 2) add subwoofer

Default In Europe Audi offers a Tuner/CD as an option on '02 models
Don't know about any loom differences between a pre '02 and an '02 but this might be the easiest/cheapest solution.
