Help cd changer is not working
I changed out some cd's the other day and when I went to listen to them the display shows "NO CD" and the cd magazine won't eject now either! I already STFA and found the "CDERR" article (use thin card to eject magazine) but that didn't work. Is this a common problem with an easy fix or am I sol? BTW I have a 99 with Concert Bose system. Thanks!

I'd 2nd the Phatbox vote. But...
...one thing to try with the changer is check the harness connector behind the changer for corrosion. My buddies Avant had some very mild corrosion in it and he was getting the same problems. A quick clean with some contact cleaner and some dielectric grease and it was fine for 6 months...when I bought him a PBox for his birthday. :P
Good luck, hope that helps.

I've got the same problem :(
CD changer started to play up intermittantly in the Autumn and was skipping, pausing and in some cases not reading certain CD's at all. The problem gradually got worse to the point where CD Error would be displayed. If I left it with this error it would cycle through all the CD's and "sometimes" actually play one after about 1-mins.
Over the winter period the changer has dies and just displays the CD Error constantly.
I removed it from the car and stripped it down, cleaned the heads & checked all internal connection - Still dead though
I'm resigned to the fact that I need to replace it but don't have the funds for a new one, PhatNoise or RNSE at this time!
If you get you're fixed please let me know what the cause was.
