Do anyone know what size is the vacuum hoses with the red circles? Are these hoses pre-cut as individual piece or it can be ordered in a spool? It appears that it comes with a special heat resistance shield. Please see the photos below:

It is under the cover at the red circle location.

Autozone can do it. After the battery disconnect, you might have to do a throttle body adaptation (stfa) to get the car to run right.

See if you can find somewhere else for automotive advice.

I know it is not recommended, but it work on most vehicles. The Audi is a very weird car to me. I test drove the car after I re-connected the battery. It doesn’t seem to drive and act any different than before I removed the battery.

I never heard of the throttle adaptation (whatever it is) after the battery is disconnected. I changed the battery gazillion times on the Japanese cars. The battery doesn’t last very long in AZ.

Have anyone use one of this: Black & Decker AD925 Smart Scan Automotive Check Engine Light Diagnostic Tool. Will it work on both European and Japanese cars? I used to have the Equus scanner, but my kid broke it.

I believe that I replaced most of the vacuum hoses that I can find, and I used up the entire spool of new hose. I cleaned the MAF with MAF cleaner and the carb with carb cleaner. It seems to keep the light away for a while now. It might just do it. With all the new parts, the car is almost new again, and it runs very smooth now.
