Help with decision...change wheels or brakes? (longish, as usual)

so my car has a minor, but annoying, shudder at about 60mph that goes away at 70mph. This is attributed to the 5mm spacers that were needed for my OEM 18" S-line wheels to clear my front HP2 stock brake calipers.
Yes, the wheels and tires are in balance. They were road-force balanced on a Hunter not long ago. I even swapped out to my snows (which do not require spacers) and the car was fine, no shudder.
I know that the OEM 17" S-line wheels fit perfectly without spacers (I have one in my trunk as a full spare) with the same offset (ET43).
So, I am left with a decision to make...try and switch to the OEM 17" S-line wheels (I love the design of the 9-spokes), or to upgrade my brakes to something that will not require the spacers.
Any thoughts/suggestions? Anyone with OEM 17" S-lines that wants to work a trade for the 18"?

the track of front and rear should match, so I did rear as well. Do you think it is okay to only have spacers in front???
