Replacing drivers in a complete, tuned system is going to be awfully hit/miss.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big fan of Bose, but I find it hard to believe that simply replacing OEM Bose drivers with aftermarket drivers is going to give you better sound.
In a standard system, possibly. In a Bose system, less likely...
What don't I know?

I'm not sure about the brackets from some other manufacuteres, but the MBQuart RCE-216s and PCE-216s I ordered are basically plug and play with the stock locations. I just lined up with the 2nd group of speaker mounting holes (4 of them). It also looks like I can mount the tweeters in the stock locations upfront fairly easily using one of the ring adaptes that came with the Quarts and the existing little steel rod brace that goes behind the stock tweeter. I've been taking photos of most of the isntall and plan on posting when done. Basically, I'm replacing all 4 speakers, using pre-outs from factory HU into 4 channel JL Audio amp, running all new speaker wire, and building an amp rack/shelf in the trunk.

rendering them useless but then mounting the Polk Audio 6.5's in them for a perfect fit. The tweeters fit in the stock location using the stock brackets. The polks made a huge difference in my Concert non Bose system.
