Default Help...Need tire advice and wheels are on order!

I spent a ton of time gaining feedback from you guys on the best all-season ultra high performance tire for the $$$ and I finally settled on Pirelli PZero Nero M+S 255/35/18's. I ordered from Discount Tire to have dropped shipped to ACHTuning so they could be mounted on the RS6 18X8.5 ET30 5 spokes I have on order.

Luke at Discount called me and told me minimum 6 weeks for the Pirellis. He mentioned some other options and I wanted to get some feedback on which way to go. He also recommended 40 AR vs. 35 to maintain similiar rolling diameter. Most seem to move from the 255/40/17 to 255/35/18 around here but he said the diameter of the OEM was 25.73, the 255/35/18 was 25.03 and the 255/40/18 was 26.03.

Here are my choices:
Michelin PS AS 255/40/18 - $270 Yikes!

BFG KDW 255/40/18 - $164

Falken 452 255/35/18 - $161

Michelin PS2 - 255/35/18 $248 Yikes!

Help!

Default Comparison...

The 255/40 18's put you over the recommended diameter difference of 3% check out the link to see the comparison of sizes. One thing I noticed is the 255/35 18 puts you outside the rim width range. Hope this helps.

Tire Size Calculator

Default I'm a big fan of the Toyo Proxes4, I have them on my A4 and they're great.>

www.edgeracing.com has them for great prices.
They work great in wet/dry and are high performance all seasons, so they aren't that great in snow, but work well when it's cold out.
They also wear really well.

Default Any reason why you don't want to wait for your 1st choice in tires?

Why not check in with Tire Rack to see what their availability is on the size you want?
