.. when accelerating. I hear a kind of whooshing noise when under moderate acceleration. Seems to be a little down on power as well. Could it be the dreaded TBB? I still have the original, with about 18k miles. Thanks.

in the middle/back of the "Y". Otherwise, look for loose/torn hoses from the intercoolers. Could also be a bad DV, but seems they don't go "out" on A6 2.7Ts very often...or as often as the S4s.

TBB or a vacuum hose has slipped off. Take it in and have them check it. I had the whooshing sound under 1/2 to full throttle. I made the sevice guy drive with me and I pointed out the noise to him.
I tore TBB at 6500 miles stock car and had a vacuum hose come off twice. Turbo's have been slightly louder since, but no problems in the last 23,000 miles.
Dont delay taking it in and stay off the boost.

I called the dealer and they are going to try to make sure that they have all of the probable failure parts in stock and schedule an appointment for me.
