Default Vlad... did this set a code?

As I say, I don't have a CEL. How did you come to the conclusion that it was the EGR sensor? Can VAG provide any information?

Default More that it would show some symptoms at all speeds and loads....

rather than suddenly failing when it reaches a specific boost/airflow.

Default I reckon it could be simply a leaking TBB or at worst, a split intercooler. This would cause most...

of the symptoms you are seeing.

Default If it were a pre-programmed safety meassure to save the possibility of .....

holed pistons etc... - surely it would just make it drop the boost and ignition timing as well - nothng reduces the possibility of pre-ignition as quickly as retarding the timing by a massive amount - tis is doing quite the opposite.

I think it is either a restriction in air-in or a leak after the turbos.

Default Edd, I think you are right...

... I didn't have time to take things apart this weekend, but I plan on re-doing the leak test. Thanks for all of your suggestions!

Default That does make sense. However...

... I'm still concerned about my peak reading of 190 g/s. This could be the "chicken or the egg" syndrome I contemplated in my original posting, though.
