trans cooler being bad can cause antifreeze to get into trans? Dealership says (inspite of the trans functioning perfectly prior to fluid check/change) trans should be replaced because of antifreeze contamination. BS?

Your better off talking to a tranny shop than audi about this. That way you can get a strait answer instead of a we think ...

will cause seal degradation and just changing transmission fluid will not do it. Any seals that have been exposed to antifreeze, even for a short time, will eventually show damage. Also, the torque converter cannot be completely drained so contamination would still be present when the remaining fluid circulates through the transmission.
