Hey, after reading tons and tons of threads, I found that you are one of the most knowledgble Audi guy around, and you got good taste of modifying Audi(s). I just want to say thank you for providing a lot of helpful informations for everyone, espeically a rookie like me~ I was just wondering if you can post some pictures of your car, and a list of performace upgrades. I would love to see them.......in addition, just want your opinion on power upgrade, would you go with the GIAC chip + Supersprint Exhaust, or would you go with MTM Chip + MTM Exhaust, (or other alternatives) I know the X-Chip does give more horsepower, but I wonder if it's a good combination~ give me some inputs when you get a chance, thanks
and if there's anything that I can do, please let me know

Default Thanks. MTM is always a sound choice, but customer support is a big issue in modifications.

APR is by far the most accessible for issues with their own engineers on tap. MTM products dyno match the claims, so you are really getting what you're paying for. Related to the exhaust, it is an awful lot of money for either system. I ran straight pipes for a while which cost an afternoon and $200. I'm probably doing a custom exhaust next which will probably consist of just cutting off the rear cans and adding the largest Walker Dynomax Ultraflow SS's that will be fed through side inlet and out through the center outlet being completely concealed under the valance. I was quoted $197 installed and the flow should be comparable to other high dollar systems. The reason I left the straight pipes is that they had to much HP on the top of the tach which hindered the great low end torque produced by the restrictive stock system. The pipes were great for doing 1/4 mile runs, but around town off the line suffered. This next compromise should give a robust exhaust note with restriction choking off closer to redline as opposed to mid band choke off noted with the stock system. $.02.
