Default hey guys need help trans in limp

i pulled the codes i only have one
(17114 P0730 Gear Incorrect Ratio ) i took the car to the dealership they had it for 2 day could not determine what was wrong, wen its hot outside the car wont move at all in drive or any gear(reverse works fine all the time), wen cold outside it move but wen i give it gas it go's into limp any idea

Did you check the TCU to make sure it is dry?

ya did check it did not look like it was wet at all am really unsure of wat to do next do i need a trany

Default That's a place to start. I'd try some output tests with VAG-COM too.

Did you actually open the TCU box or just peek under the carpet? You really should open the box and take a look. I had a car where everything looked fine but when I opened the box it was full of water.

Default Without VAG-COM your hands are tied. All you can do is peek at the ECU.

You can't even check fluid level.

it was my TCM it was not water but it was soda took out cleaned it like magic it worked
