Hey Muzzy996, something was bothering me about the way your upper sway link was attached and
it finally hit me. The upper part of the link is supposed to be attached to the control arm so that the NUT is toward the lower strut mount making it very easy to pull the bolt out the other way.
For some reason, yours were in with the bolt toward the strut, but it sounds like the hacksaw method worked out just fine.

Previous Post

Based on ETKA and Bently it looks right though...
In ETKA it's illustration 407-10. It shows the sway bar end link on the outside of the control arm's anchor point and outside of the sway bar end. Both nuts for the upper and lower end link bolts are towards the inside of the car.
The installation of the replacement link though, yes I put the bolt through from the inside out with the nut on the outside.
The end link was still installed in the same manner though being on the outside of the anchor point so that it looked like the original install (although the new link is of a different design).
Darn I should have taken pictures !

Strange. Yours and mine must be as originally built, but mine is installed so that the
nut is toward the outside on the upper end. The nut on the lower part of the link was toward the inside of the car like yours, before I installed H-sports.
