when they train each fall. A few times a year we can hear the 105s firing, similar to being around Fort Lewis (based on what I can hear when I play golf at Vicwood or Merriwood), but much less often. And there is an occasional medivac to Memorial hospital when some crazed kid overturns a Bradley or a tank. This is quite in contrast to when I first moved here (1979) and Guard "training" meant drinking all the bars dry and "dates" with the women at the Alaska Corral (now a Key Bank drive through).

only ~$100/round...not bad compared to other things that you can do over 5-6 hours...The hotel is a bit steeper, but not too high compared to a lot of other places...I think only about $300/night for a suite...cheaper than Princeville
