Default Never know they're here. The Brits make the newspaper...

when they train each fall. A few times a year we can hear the 105s firing, similar to being around Fort Lewis (based on what I can hear when I play golf at Vicwood or Merriwood), but much less often. And there is an occasional medivac to Memorial hospital when some crazed kid overturns a Bradley or a tank. This is quite in contrast to when I first moved here (1979) and Guard "training" meant drinking all the bars dry and "dates" with the women at the Alaska Corral (now a Key Bank drive through).

You dog...My golf buddies are too cheap to go play (I told them I'd even drive them in the S6)

Default You only live once...but it's not really that expensive anyway...

only ~$100/round...not bad compared to other things that you can do over 5-6 hours...The hotel is a bit steeper, but not too high compared to a lot of other places...I think only about $300/night for a suite...cheaper than Princeville
