It seems that after driving for a few minutes I get a high pitched low volume noise at speeds over 20 mph. Below 20, it goes away. It is much more noticeable with the windows up, and seems to come from the center of the car. It has a siren character to it, meaning two different tones repeating. Same noise regardless of engine rpm, even when out of gear. The repetition frequency doesn’t seem to increase with speed. Any thoughts? I believe speedometer cables have caused similar noise on other brands, not sure on Audis.
