I can't believe I just received this notice.

"Service Action JE
1998 - 2000 Model Year Audi A6 Vehicles
Check Front Suspension Lower Control Arms"

I've looked into this recall before and my VIN was out of range. Apparently, we've had a bit of scope creep and now my car is IN range.

New lower control arms?

Default Don't know

The letter didn't include a VIN range, but I know I wasn't included before. Something's changed.

Default So what happens if...

...they check them and they're ok? I've got good control arm bushings and we wait and see what happens? Confusing.

Default what's the deal with "maintenance" schedule ...

and lower control arm damage? They state the arm (bushing?) can be damaged even if the boot does not indicate damage.
