Default homelink transmitter programming question, I read the manual and did what it says, but

it still won't work.

Background, MY 2000 A6 with homelink transmitter & liftmaster opener.

I hold button 1 & 3 on homelink for 20 seconds until homelink flashes fast. Then release both buttons. Then, I hold my remote near homelink and simultaneously press opener & homelink button 1 until homelink flashes fast. Try newly programmed homelink when I get home and opener does not open.

So, I read further on in the manual and find that rolling code openers need to "learn" homelink remote after it has been programmed.... so I press the learn button on the opener and then, within 5 seconds, press button one on Homelink. Nothing happens. (normally, opener light flashes when it learns a new remote) Not only does homelink not work, now none of my other openers work anymore.

I had to retrain the opener to get all the other openers to work again.

Has anybody got the homelink to work with a liftmaster garage door opener?

Default Did you try pressing button 1 twice like it sez in the manual?

Couldn't tell from your post. I had to press my button 1 twice after pressing the learn button on the head unit.

If not - good excuse to buy one of those quick open/shaft drive openers. :-))))

Default My brain fart, you're right, it does say to press it twice. I just tried it and it worked!!!

I swear I read the manual, and re-read the manual... I don't know how I missed that twice part. Thank you.
